Street Atlas USA, in use since version one, lo so may years ago! All recent
updates purchased directly from DeLorme, around $69 per year. Only been updating
every-other year for the past few versions.
We are active geocachers, and for the toad and handheld we use a Garmin iQue M5,
which is also a Pocket PC so we have all the cache data as well as maps. Around
$500 as I remember, but out of production.

I use the Garmin GPS 18, which is designed to work with your laptop.
It's basically a gps sensor with a long cable and all the map and
routing software included. It connects to you USB port.
I paid about $110 from Walmart-online. The software alone costs
twice that if you purchased it separately, so it's a great bargain if
you already bring along a laptop or if you want the benefit of a
large screen.
I bought a TARGUS DC to DC converter to power the laptop as I drive.

I really like the nuvi 680. I have had a lot of GPS systems over the
years since the beginning. With all of the features and software
evolution in most of the name brands, it would be hard to go wrong with
any of them.

I use Garmin N-Route on my laptop. I think it cost about $130.00. I like
it the screen size on a laptop better than the smaller GPS. I routed a
power supply from behind my set of front drawers to the top of the large
flat part of the dash. I keep the inverter on so I am running on AC not the
battery. Also keep an internet connection, Email and connection back to the
office running via air card at the same time.

we use co-pilot software on a 15" laptop that sits on the dash and toggle back
and forth between it and silverleaf engine management software. the larger
screen works for me, future plans call for a "Ram" laptop post and flexible
mount that will allow it to be directed to either me or Mary Anne. currently
there are a lot of wires running from the drivers area, ac outlet and engine
management data port crossed the dash and someday I will conceal/redirect them
but for now it works. I also use a blue tooth wireless GPS signal finder which
has worked perfectly sitting at the bottom of the windshield.
