Folks,
Most of my electrical connections which are exposed
to the weather, specifically in the engine compartment,
are painted with a brown paint. Any one know what this
coating is and who makes it. It appears to be a paint, but
it may be a grease of some sort.
Thanks

Probably Scotchcoat, liquid electrical tape.

That brown "paint" is not liquid electrical tape . It is battery
terminal protector. Comes in a spray can and is available at most auto
parts stores. For the best value in a large can just go to any large
battery dealer.

If the paint is brown in color, like primer. It probably is epoxy High
tempeture used as an insulation coating on electic motors. Or GE
glyptol primer.
