Wanderlodge Gurus - The Member Funded Wanderlodge Forum

As I have mentioned a few times, She Who Must Be Obeyed and I have looked at
a couple of early model pushers and it looks like we are very close to
closing a deal on one. So the questions continue ...

One really gray area of concern that we have is what we are going to do with
our pets, specifically three housecats. A stop at the local Chinese
restaurant is NOT a possibility, and we obviously need to minimize the mess and
odor
from traveling with the varmints.

Question #1. Anyone here travel with cats? What are your solutions?

Question #2. Is it feasible or practical to have a trap door arrangement
made so that there is access to one of the underfloor storage compartments from
the interior? It would be nice if they have their own space and if we could
put them down there every so often.

Though we do not travel with pets now, we have had pets and have
friends with pets. The most effective litter box seems to be the
automatic system that has been seen on TV. Friends with cats and that
system do not have an odor problem and they tell me that it is easy to
keep clean.

I have seen trapdoors to the bays that are used by cats. It would
depend upon the design of your particular coach as to where and if it
can be done without problems.

We take our Cats with us on all our trips. Both are litterbox
trained. We keep the litterbox in the shower.
Big problem is the Cat Meowing and waking us up, but we found a new
breed that does not meow. Check out our Photos.

I have looked at hundreds of for sale Ads of MotorHomes on the Internet now
and They all, 100% of them, have had no pets nor smokers! Quite remarkable
and I got a chuckle out of this subject discussion.



We have one of the Super Duper Automatic #1 Scoopers and they do work.
Cat did #2 in my new expensive race car oil pan so that was the end of the
Cat, new owner. I guess you could call that Pet Management failure. HaHa

Free to good home. Rottweiler/ Chihuahua mix. Much to my surprise,my
Rottweiler had one puppy two weeks ago. When she went into heat two
months ago a neighbors chihuahua showed up, I guess he found a bale of
hay. The puppy will be paper trained with all shots and ready in two
months for adoption. I will post pics.

LOL!! Is that possum litterbox trained, too?!?!
Right now, I have decided to adopt a stray cat that we have been sort of
foster parents for. She has been roaming around in this RV park. Oreo
is her name. She is very friendly and smart. Can't find anyone who owns
her. I think that she was abandoned about 1 year ago. I have to
litterbox train her. She likes being outside. Jack is afraid that she
will run away from us and get killed. Oreo will be living in our Bird
on a full time basis like us. []
