Hello everyone:

Since Charolette and I have had calls from across the Country and Nova
Scotia checking on us, I thought I would put a blurb on the Forum.

Wildfires are spreading across the State and the larges is located 1 1/2
miles south of our home. We are in NO present danger here. I spent the
better part of the day at a local RV park, some of you have been there,
keeping vigil on the grass fires that I watched jump Highway 81 and
continue to burn. 3 of us armed only with water hoses managed to save 6
RV's from burning as the fires were swept through the dead grasses and
literally under 3 of the RV's before we got them out. It even scorched the
100 foot hose I was using on the grass fire behind the RV's.

It is expected that this fire will rage in the windswept turmoil as the
winds push it further. Several complete towns have been totally burned to
the ground and the fire is expected to go un checked all the way to the
Texas border.

I know this has nothing to do with Bird's but wanted our friends to know
that Charolette and I are safe.

Ralph and Charolette

Safe travels,

Thanks for letting us know that you and Charolette are OK. We have
heard nothing on the news here in FL that y'all were still having
fires in OK.

Hey Ralph, Terrible situation there, we saw LOTS of evidence on our
trip west of the wildfires and their devastation throughout OK. Glad
you and Charolette's home is ok. Locals in New Mexico say they
are "getting ready" very little rain this winter.

I hope the 6 Rv's you were protecting were REALLY GOOD FRIENDS OF
YOURS! Wild FIRE under an RV ...propane...and a garden
hose...well...I was not there and I know you know what that
combination can do! They must not have insurance! Whew..
Be careful better to be alive than a memory..

Ralph I know you were at Mr Olivers to check out a coach for someone
recently. Did you by any chance look at the 1985 PT40 that was there.
It is a one owner coach with 71K miles on it. I bought it a couple
of days ago and will pick it up the week of the 13th. You be careful
with those fires.

Tom:

That Coach came in after I was there. I did not see it personally. It looks
like a decent Coach, just beware.
