Ron and Ruth, why not stop by Montgomery, Tx next week for our rally? Ernie

I'm in the process of setting up the replacement of my ailing 110 V
auxilliary air compressor and re-discovered 2 pressure gauges high up
in the second storage comparment on the drivers side. These are just
around the corner from where the aux air compressor is mounted to the
floor. I figured out which one serves the aux air compressor and I
note that the pressure reads 17 on the outside white ring on the gauge;
and I also note that you can adjust the psi when the aux air compressor
is running. My question on it is: what psi should it be set at?

As for the other gauge, it reads 0 psi right now and this is while
we're hooked up to shore power and neither the aux air compressor nor
the 12 v toilet compressor are running. At the same time, I note that
my engine compressor gauge (on the dash) reads 120 psi. What does this
other gauge serve and what should it be adjusted to??

Thanks guys!

Ron & Ruth about to head for Galveston in 2ooo lxi.

Keep in mind the dash gauge is reading the available
air brake pressure, nothing more, nothing less. Not
to be confused with any other pressures: neither
suspension, toilet nor slide seals.

As a reminder, I have added a label to my dash gauge
to the affect that it represents only the air brakes.

Hi Ron,
On my '99 there are guages for both the 120VAC compressor which is
tied into the engine air auxillary tank and the 12VDC toilet (and
slide too?) compressor with its own little tank. My regulator is set
a little higher on the 120VAC so the 12VDC won't start if you have
shore power or when aired up by the engine. The two are separated
with check valves.

It's taken me four years, but I've finally figured out what these two adjustable air pressure gauges do. The one with a visible reading on all the time is the slide seal pressure. The one with the higher Guage the reads zero most of the time is for the Microphone toilet. From what I've read in the forums, the slide seal should be set @ 7-10 psi, and the toilet should be set @ 50-60 psi.

On mine there are two factory gauges, also:

1. One gauge is for the slide seal pressure, as you pointed out. Some say 10 - 12 psi. Others say 12 - 15 psi. So I picked 12 psi.

2. The other is for the venturi that sucks down the seal when the slide is about to be moved. No idea what the pressure is supposed to be when the valve opens.

Here is a picture of a revised pneumatic panel having an added gauge for the aux tank and another for the Microphor tank. The only gauge BB provided for the aux tank is on the water panel.
Ron, You've got a real clean installation! I'm going to double check mine later this week. I think that the one with the exhaust venturi is for my Microphor toilet? It should be easy enough to test the theory. If I'm right it will register when I flush the toilet. If I'm wrong, it will register when I bleed the slide-out bladder. I'll let you know what I find. If you've got a schematic of your system I'd love to get a copy. Will you be at Quartzsite in January? Thanks, Dan
No schematic, sorry Dan. In Florida for the winter, Michigan for the summer.
