I picked up a 1500 watt inverter and need some help installing it. My
coach does not appear to have ever had an inverter but I'm not sure,
there are no wires in the front left bay and most I've seen had a
rediline in this location. So my question is are the Wanderlodges
prewired for an inverter? If so where do I look for the connection point?

My 1981 FC-33 was pre-wired for a Redi-line, there is a junction box
for it in the rear upper corner of the front right bay. There should
be junction boxes in the upper storage cabinets on the curbside of the
coach behind the woodgrain panels labelled redi-line.

There should be another one located under the sink where my redi-line
relay was located.

I ended up putting my inverter/charger in place of the original
battery chargers and connecting them with 16' of 2/0 cable(s) to the
batteries in the left front battery bay. My right front bay has 2-8D
starting batteries.

I have more details on my inverter installation in the files section
of the FC_Wanderlodge Yahoo!Group.

Good luck,

No such thing as a dumb questions....

A Redi-Line was (is) a electric 12v motor device, that turns a AC generator,
that generates 110v ac. It was designed to supply 110v power to the
electric drapes, ice maker, and maybe a few other low amp 110v devices, in lieu
of
starting the genset or in the case of not having an inverter (or shore power
available). No too efficient, but a neat device for it's time.

OK...dumb question here...what is a Redi-Line? Does/did my 82 FC35
have one?

Thanks
