Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all.
I just had the turbo replaced on my bird and the Cat dealer commented
on the low temp readings after a lengthy test ride. They both read in
the normal range before the work was done -190 to 195 water and ~220
for oil. After the turbo job the water temp would not go above 160
and oil would not go above 190. I assumed bad grounding or a stuck
thermostat and decided to attack the problem in the spring but I just
had to go to the unheated storage area to fire her up and now the
guages do not move at all (tapping does not help) until I shut off the
engine and then they move to just above zero.
I need to know where the temp sending units are located so I can
bypass the wiring to go directly to the guage.
Thanks,
