Terrace is located in British Columbia, just south of the Alaska panhandle. To
get to the closest city, is 80,000 a city?, that is 500 miles away, to get to
the closest larger population centre, is 1100 miles away. There are many little
communities of 200 - 500 people up here, but as you can imagine they would lack
a lot of ammenities LOL.
What we don't have up here are, traffic jams, crimes or homelessness (it is too
cold).
What we have up here in abundance is wild animals, bears - black, grizzlies, and
brown, eagles, wolves and many others. Fishing - well the many annual visitors
from Europe can attest to how good the fishing is. Hunting, elk, deer, moose,
goats and even bear.

I work in a camp in the remote wilderness accessible either by boat 4 hours or
helicopter of 1 hour. I operate a hydro electric station of 1000MW to supply
power to the smelter located in Kitimat. The job is week on and week off - so
there u go MY coach sits all alone every other week, and all I can do is dream,
or redo schematics, things like that.

AND the BB is going to be our home to get away from the cold weather when I
retire, hopefully soon.

Hey Bill, I went through Terrance, BC in 1979 to go fly fishing on the
Babine River. Are they still catching native Steelhead in that river?

Jack: Babine river is further to the east from us, about 300 miles. I do not
know what the fishing is like there, but I understand it is still really good.
If anyone ever comes up this way, or on your way to Alaska, please look us up.
