I am still learning on my new 89wlsp. I want to explore on replacing
my old original TV. Does the TV also swing down and how do you get it

I just put a new LCD Flat Screen TV in the front of my 89 WL 36' SP. When
you open up the side doors there are some screws that hold the panel on that
the TV is in. When you take the screws out the panel comes off & then you can
take the TV out. After I had it out I made a bracket to mount the New Flat
Screen to the same face panel. It is a 20" Sharp TV & it worked out really
well. Can't tell that it wasn't made that way. Hope this helps

You do not need to swing the overhead dash down to remove the TV.
Pull the interior of the overhead storage areas on either side of the
TV. They are held in place by 3 or 4 screws in the forward edge of
the bottom of the storage compartment. Once they are out you can see
what it takes to liberate the TV. If you are tossing anything that
works, let me know, I might be interested.

I have replaced the domes in the past but they are no longer available
from Tandy.
As far as I am concerned they cannot be repaired.
I think someone, possibly Steve Birtles, has a replacement from
another manufacturer.
