Anyone out there know the procedure for removing the grille over the
radiator on a 92WB40. The top is held in place with a non-removable
allen head screw anchor of some sort. If you turn it cw till it
stops, it holds firm. If you turn it ccw till it stops, the grille is
loose but will not come off. There has to be a simple trick to this.

O.K. everyone, I figured it out, but BB natched the body too little to
make for easy removal. The three latches at the top of the grille are
similar to drawer locks with a cam, except when in the locked
position, they can be screwed in and tightened.

I am taking my grinder to the notch to improve removal and
installation tolerances.

Hey Ron,

Inquiring minds want to know: Why you are taking the radiator grille
off in the first place? Something bad happen?

I wanted to clean any road dirt out of the face of the radiator. It
wasn't bad surprisingly, but a little dirty at the bottom. I don't
want any surprises like overheating when I'm on the road.

Ron Blow it out with air water can turn it to mud and when it dryes you will
be worse off also
the water you use may have hi hp.and that can cause your radiator to
deteriorate

Bob: I used a coil cleaner that the service men use on A/C coils.
It boils out the dirt. I'll finish it off with air, once it has
dried in the morning.

Sure glad to hear from you. I sent you two emails but didn't get
any response. Been keeping up with messages from others.
