Well, I can't wax poetic like Ralph, but... we decided to get away for
a few days and ended up at Buckhorn Lake Resort in Kerrville, Texas.
Buckhorn is one of the top big rig RV resorts in the US.
Unfortunately, we are the only Bird in the place this trip.

You never know what you're going to see on the highwyas and byways.
Our next door neighbor has a full size pig living with them in their
Fleetwood Expedition. Now you don't see that every day! Seems it was
supposed to be a minature pot belly when they bought it, and before
they got attached to it. He's quiet, clean, well-behaved, and sleeps
a lot, but snores real bad.

This Sunday evening there was a barbeque dinner {pork and beef) put on
by the campground. This was followed by an ice cream social, which
wsa then followed by an end-of-summer fireworks display that lasted
over 1/2 hour as we watched from the adult-only hot tub. Now we are
back at the Bird enjoying margaritas and nachos and watching the
NASCAR race under the stars. As Ralph would say,... yup, it doesn't
get much better than this!

Sounds like a well deserved rest for you both. I can just see the salt
rimmed glasses with the condensation running down the sides.

Safe travels,
