Hopefully someone can help me. I have only had my 2001 Lxi for a short time and on a trip to St Louis when I arrived I notices the covering for my right headlight was missing. It looks like the covering was held on with Velcro. Not sure if this was original.

Can anyone give me an idea of how to find a new one? It sure damages the looks.

Thanks
The black Lexan Covers may be available from Dupree Products. Call Steve at 716 220 1267 or https://www.dupreeproducts.com/
I will try to get more information. I did contact and apparently they need cutting to fit.. I was hoping to find some exact fit units -
Thanks for the suggestion.
The OEM Lexan covers have been scarce to find for some time now. The only way to find one is from a totaled or parts LXi. The gentleman I sold my last LXi to lost the cover on the driver's side in a wind storm going through Colorado. He tried the fiberglass covers from Dupree and he said they were a lousy fit. He used the Lexan cover from the other side as a templet and had two fabricated out of sheet aluminum which he painted black.

Be aware that the cutouts for the lights are located a little off center which means that the left side will not fit properly when turned upside down and used on the right side or vice versa. So, the cutouts must be located properly for each side. Also, if I remember correctly, each cover's profile was a little different (i.e.) the top edge compared to the bottom edge and the radius around the curved end is not uniform. Any decent sheet metal fabrication shop should be able to make you a new pair.
Dupree Products is no longer selling the fiberglass headlight covers, Stephen said the vendor requires a large order to make them. I sure would like to buy a set, the Lexan covers can be modified so the headlights are exposed, but, it looks like quite a job to drill the holes and cutout for the signal lights. I would like to see a pic of the aluminum covers.

I appreciate the feed back - still no solid answer. If someone knew the original company that molded these we could probably get them to make some for the replacement market.
I think the company that made the Lexan covers is no longer in business. I do know that any inventory of these Lexan covers that a Bluebird dealer such as Holland or Parliament had has long been exhausted. LXi owners have been searching for years to find a replacement. They became scarce shortly after the Bluebird factory shut down. The same problem exists with finding other body replacement parts. So, owners have been trying to find an oem replacement source for several years going as far back as 2010.

Don't let me discourage you from trying to find a ready made replacement. There are many LXi owners that would readily buy a set just for backup in case they ever lose or damage one. But I think your best bet is to have a matched set custom made.
Check with Coachcraft, they may have a pair of the lexan covers in stock.
Thanks Chuck
Any idea of where to go to have some custom made? If I find a good source I will try to get a price on a quantity and list it here to see how many would be interested before I buy.

I must ask - how do you like your Prevost compared to the LXi?
