Hello everyone:

Well it is mid summer and the AC's have been running for a couple of months
and are doing fine for the most part and giving everyone nice cool air.

Now is the time for doing a little simple prevent maint on them to keep
them in good shape. If roof airs, remove the shrouds and do a quick visual
check, then with the unit off, take a garden hose and back flush the
condenser to dis lodge things like dirt, cotten wood seeds and general
debris. This will allow the proper rate of flow to continue. If the grill
fins are bent over, you can get a fin comb out and straighten them. button
it back up and go inside and open the air box up to get a good look at the
evaporator grill. If it looks clean then it probably is, change or clean
your filters and your done.

If you have Cruise Airs, you can back flush the condensers from under the
coach, of course taking all precautions with jacks, blocking and so forth
for safety. Then inside the coach, open the return grills and remove the
filters there. wash then out, then look deeper to the evaporator, there
should be a screen mesh in front of the grills. Those screens love hair,
lint, carpet strings and most things in general. remove the screens, clean
then and then replace them back in front of the grills to keep those clean
and your done.

Safe travels,
