Which area of the state? Most of those guys work in areas that are fairly local to them.
A good source is the local fire company fleet manager. In California each area have local independent talent they contract to show up as standby during fire fights. In Santa Barbara Ca. I used Tim Parks 805-331-2815 I have since scheduled other work with him while we camp at Rincon Oceanside.
