Kind of a minor departure, but when I was flying, a pilots log was mandated.
Likewise, when I had a motorhome back in the 70's I logged every mile, date, odometer, trip odometer and (hobbs) engine hours. I also noted issues, if any, (and repairs) as well as campgrounds where we parked. Do the same with my 'bird from the first day.
Just a spiral notebook, nothing fancy.
Somebody else will likely own my 'bird one day and a complete log would likely come in handy.
