Have you guys had success with the rebuild kit? I think the kit's around $95. The best I've found so far for a new pump is $266 at Combined Fluid Products.
Paul took that out of my coach and replaced it with another compressor and tank. Works well and quiet, also
$246.99 at zorotool.com
Thanks Ron, maybe I'll just spring for a new pump!
Good Morning,
I purchased the repair kit from ZORO tools and also bought a used replacement pump.
In the 450 , the location requires 2 hours to remove the unit, so Ed and I changed the fittings, tubing to DOT quick connects and hung the pump so that it can be r&r in 20 minutes.
Next will be to plumb the 12 v to just the toilet. (requires check valve and small accumulator.)
The repair kit is easy but be careful with the head bolts. One of mine had water corrosion and broke. PIA but repairable.
The used pump wasn't such a bargain-- cracked head at the outlet-- Used "Rapid-fix " glue and it works fine-- for now!
(Used this same glue to attach ball joint boot heat shields )

I would use the Sears Compressor and route it the same way Paul LaZar did in his 97. Works great and less than $150.00. Have Ernie send you pics of the install Paul did on the coach. I would not pay for the Thomas compressor. They are bad news that keeps braking down if used often.
Hish ,

If the Thomas is such bad news as you say , why did BB and other manufactures , use them over the reliable sears compressor ? You say if used often , how long is often ? we use them to air up our system for dump and leaving a park as quiet as possible in the morning by airing up the air springs . Please provide your thoughts here .

BB and others use the Thomas compressor because it is 12V and they want a 12 v source to air the toilet. You can use the inverter to power the Sears 120 V compressor and not to have to spend you grandchildren inheritance for a Thomas compressor. For me Sears is the way to go if I had a Thomas in my coach which I don't.
Hish ,
as usual , clear and easy to understand . I plan to go with a all elec toilet , any ideas ? as to grandchildren lol , Im only in the Medical School , Acting School stage ha ha ha

Microphor does offer an electric toilet. I still prefer air toilet, worked for me on the 97,06 BB and the 04 Prevost.
Prevost uses the 120v air compressor to charge the toilet system a Microphor

Al I finished cleaning the coach that is way I am on the forum more.
