I was offered a pair of larger wheels for my M450 by a former owner. It looks like Michelin has 365 70R 22.5 tires for the wheels. Has anyone done this upgrade and how did it turn out? Is this an improvement over the current 315 80R 22.5 tires I am running today? Does the 70R to 80R make a big difference?
2 Shoes, Peter Kent did change his. His email is kentps@aol.com

Thanks, I'll send a PM.
There are a few that have done this upgrade. They say the ride is better and a piece of mind as well. I will be upgrading when the time comes for new front tires. If you don't want the wheels I would be interested.
Just out of curiosity, since I know little about the M450 models:
-Are those wheels to support the 365 tires 10.5" wide, or even wider?
-What width is the stock wheel? 9"?
-Are the M450 wheels hub piloted or stud piloted like most Birds?

Thanks!

They are the Alcoa 803601 DB hub piloted wheels 10.5" for the 365 70R 22.5 tire.

Robert, I went ahead and bought them earlier today. Alcoa still sells them as do some of the coach companies such as Prevost. Newall is installing them as upgrade options.

You will need the studs and the nuts to mount these wheels. This should be an easy change for the any tire store.
Hope that all is well with you and the family. How is the coach running?

Thanks, Hish. I have part numbers for them. The coach is fantastic; runs incredibly well. We are selling our house and will full time for a short transition.
